Gary Sze Kong, J.D., is a self-made real estate mogul, business owner and philanthropist dedicated to creating a better future for individuals and organizations globally.
Born in Fujian, China, and educated in Hong Kong until the age of 16, he embarked on a courageous journey to the United States alone. His odyssey began through Guatemala and Mexico, ultimately leading him to American soil with a work visa in hand. Upon his arrival, he took up employment as a dishwasher. In 1993, his dedication and perseverance were rewarded with the granting of citizenship.
Kong’s industrious spirit and unwavering determination led him to save diligently, allowing him to purchase his first property at the age of 19. This remarkable achievement was made possible through relentless overtime work and the additional support of a $5,000 loan from his mother.
Gary initially enrolled at New York University, pursuing English as a Second Language and Mathematics courses. Financial constraints, however, prevented him from completing his studies there. Undeterred, Gary embarked on online courses at Southwest University International in 2003, focusing on international business. His dedication and perseverance culminated in earning a Bachelor’s degree. Demonstrating unwavering resolve, Gary further pursued legal studies at Southwest International Business, ultimately obtaining a Juris Doctor degree in 2012. The decade-long journey to achieve this milestone stands as a testament to his determination and tenacity.
He is known for his unwavering belief in the American Dream, demonstrating that hard work can lead to success.
Today Kong has employed many providing opportunities to those with similar backgrounds.
He serves on multiple boards, including as President of the Sino American Chamber of Commerce, and supports causes in Mongolia through the Vajra Dharma King Peace Foundation. He’s also founded his own foundation called “The Global Hero Foundation”
In the year 2O20 Kong, partnered with Andres Lane, Artisan wines LP producing the award-winning “The 1 Wine,” followed by a unique beer brand, “Classic New York Beer.” His ventures expanded to include Wasa Water, a bottling line in Wausau, Wisconsin.

In 2014, Gary Kong was honored with the Ellis Island Medals of Honor for his contributions to diversifying communities. That same year, he received the Outstanding Community Service Award from President Barack Obama.
In 2016, Gary was recognized as a Wall Street Top 50 Asian Entrepreneur and appointed General Consultant for the One World for Life Global Initiative.
In 2017, he was awarded the Incredible Journey Award by CCTV.
In 2018, Gary received multiple honors, including the Knight of Winery Excellence from Chancellor Grand Master MC, a citation from Eric L. Adams, then President of the Borough of Brooklyn, and recognition from the New York State Order of Police.
Additionally, he was presented with the Fraternal Order of Police Award by the National Police and Veterans community.
That same year, President Donald Trump awarded Gary the Silver Presidential Volunteer Award.

2023 Gary received the humanitarian award from the Ashley Lauren Foundation at the event chefs who care.
2023 Gary receives the distinguished support award from the vice chairman of the international police and veterans Foundation.
Gary Kong also received this certificate of appreciation for supporting cultural diversity and for promoting culture arts among the youth of China and the USA. from the president Mark Anthony at the United Nations creational council arts club.
In May 2024 Gary received the membership at the rank of distinguished fellow given by Ambassador Otto Federico- Von Fiegenbatt ED.D, PH.D. for Peace Development and Education
In June 2024, Gary received the Visionary Award from astronaut Bruce E. Melnick at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Gary continues to host and sponsor prestigious events, including congressional affairs, state banquets in Beijing, and notable galas such as the Classic New York Gala and the China Hollywood Night. His journey from a poor immigrant to a successful American citizen epitomizes the fulfillment of the American Dream.
